And yet another has escaped (or shot while escaping). She came to the Company after the Purge as part of the newly formed Department. She finished a huge, rush, rush, rush project that HAD to be done to guarantee the continued success of the Company so it could remain the “happiest place on earth.” And then she disappeared. The next day her manager addressed the troops: “Ms. X has left the company. Don’t ask any questions.”

Yay! I’m so glad you are back!

So sorry to hear about your Grandma and Aunt. Your posts were very loving tributes to two obviously significant people.

Can’t wait to hear what you have been up to, and I’m especially excited to read some more of your ever-eloquent musings on The Company.

Uninspired,
Always happy to when you have new writing, even if it’s sad stuff. I feel this poem. Interesting about the Human Resource person at The Company. I always liked her, glad she doesn’t have to experience the cognitive dissonance that she must have been feeling working there.

Re: #6…. not only does cooking a crockpot meal only take ~30 minutes, it probably saves you 30 minutes per day when you just heat up leftovers rather than cook meals on subsequent nights.
